TOURNAMENT ORGANIZATION

 

The International Amateur and Veterans Hockey League in collaboration with the Colosseum Cup Hockey Club organizes the first edition of the "Amateur World Cup" - this fashion cup is not an official event of any federation, it is a private tournament for Amateurs and Veterans.

The two categories allowed are Amateur and Veterans and Elite

 

WE LIKE TO REMEMBER TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS THAT THE OBJECTIVE OF OUR TOURNAMENTS IS ALWAYS AND ONLY TO ORGANIZE SPORTING EVENTS AIMED AT FUN ON ICE AND OUT OF THE ICE.

The tournament is open to Amateur / Veteran level Teams therefore, Teams with senior players (+ 18 years old) who are not professionals and who have not participated or have not participated in the last 5 years in Federal leagues or in any case professional activity - while in the competitive category teams are admitted with players who have stopped playing professionally for less than 5 years or who are still in business - and / or individuals who, driven by a passion for the game of hockey, want to join us, these "single players" will then assigned to the various teams that need it or that request it in advance, or, if they are sufficient, they will be united to form a special team with uniform provided by the organization.
The presence of female players is allowed.
The size of the playing field is approximately 30m x 60m.
Duration of matches: 2 times of 20 minutes to scroll (except for accidents or fights) if the goal difference is less than 4 goals, the last 5 minutes of each half will be the actual playing time.
Each game will be preceded by 5 minutes of warm up and will have an interval between the two game times of 3 minutes.
Teams must appear on the pitch at the time indicated by the match scoreboard, if a team does not show up at all or does not show up on time at the scheduled start time of the game, (waiting tolerance 10 minutes) the same is evaluated with the score 0: 2 against the non-appearing team.
You play 5 against 5 more goalkeepers, with flying changes.
It is not possible to invoke the Time-out unless with the referee's authorization and if, in the opinion of the Referee, a team is deliberately delaying the game in any way that team will be given a minor penalty for - "Game delay"
Each team must be composed of a minimum of 10 movement players + 1 goalkeeper (any exceptions can be evaluated after requesting the organization)
Teams that present with only one goalkeeper in case they are disqualified, suspended or injured and a replacement already prepared by the team is not available, these must accept the goalkeeper designated by the organization.
Each game has a match director (referee) who is responsible for running the game plus an assistant. He monitors the game, counts the scoring and announces the result to the tournament organizer.
In the final matches there will be one referee and two assistants (three-man refereeing)
The matches will be arbitrated in all by 6 professional referees.
The minimum valid age for participation in the tournament is 18 years old
Upon request, all participating Players must provide the Tournament Organizing Committee with a photocopy of the identity document with a similar photo to confirm identity and age; otherwise, the participating Team and / or Player may be suspended.
False statements about any type of information from a participating team or a team representative will not be tolerated. All participating Players and / or Team Representatives who provide inaccurate information about a player's age, sporting experience or results from previous competitions may result in suspension, or in extreme cases, the renunciation of the Team Event games or the participating Player. The organizing committee is not responsible for accidents or damages.
The registration fee does not include health insurance coverage, each of the players would do well to provide for their own insurance policy.
Real or perceived insults against referees, employees or volunteers of the Event, stadium management or IAVHL employees and collaborators will not be tolerated. In the event that a participating Player or team official, a participant, family member, spouse, guest or affiliate of the team acts in a non-professional manner, the individual and / or the whole team may be expelled from the Event or be subject to subsequent disciplinary measures.
The tournament is scheduled with a duration of 4 days and with games of 2 times of 20 minutes but the organization reserves the right to decrease to 3 days in case of lack of sufficient teams to carry out the tournament in 4 days and / or to reduce 2-stroke 15 minutes in case of excessive number of participating teams.

  • THE GAME RULES

    In unexpected and exceptional cases the organizing committee has the right to change or adapt the rules. These changes will be communicated promptly to the teams before the dispute of the first meeting.
    The tournament will take place in two groups of 8/10 teams each, each team will meet all the other teams on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. (the number of teams per group or by category may vary according to the number of teams registered)
    The shooting of "Slap Shot" is prohibited! but, if the two captains agree they can use it but only if all players are equipped with a grid or protective visor on the helmet, if slapshot allowed, players without a visor will not be able to access the ice.
    Direct charges are forbidden but blocking on the balustrade is allowed. The soft-touch rule applies.
    Combat, however, the decision of the penalty linked to the triggering causes remains at the discretion of the referee - however in principle a penalty ranging from 10 minutes to the match penalty must be evaluated for each player identified by the referee as instigator or aggressor in a combat. The opposing player may therefore be given a 10-minute penalty if the alteration reacts or continues, a minor penalty or no penalty, depending on the circumstances and the referee's assessment.
    (Note): FIGHTING: if two players throw the first punch at the same time, and the fight remains between them (one against one) both players will receive the same 5 'penalty.
    An UNINTENTIONAL injury to the opponent will be punished with 2 '+ 2'
    A higher penalty will be awarded to each player who deliberately injures or attempts to injure another player with incorrect play or stick.
    For the placement the matches will be evaluated as follows: victory 3 points, draw 2 points, defeat 1 points.
    In the event of a tie in the group stage for the classification in the finals, the determining factors are:
    The goal difference
    The goals scored
    Goals conceded (goal difference between goals scored and conceded, who has the highest positive number passes first)
    and lastly the extraction.
    In the final matches in the event of a tie at the end of the two game times, penalty shootouts will take place, 5 shots each and in the event of a further tie, they will proceed to the bitter end.

    The "Penalty Shooting Procedure" to establish the winner of the match.

    The shots will be taken in both defense zones of the playing field.
    The procedure will begin with 5 (five) different shooters for each team who will alternate in the shots. Players do not need to be named first. All players listed in the Refereeing Sheet may participate in the Penalty Throws to establish the winner with the exclusion of those indicated in article 3 below.
    Any player who has not finished serving his penalty during the "Regular Time" will not be able to participate in the Penalty Throws, and must therefore remain on the bench punished or may go to the locker room. Players who receive a penalty pen during the penalty shootout phase will also have to be punished on the bench or will be able to go to the dressing room until the end of the procedure.
    The Referee will call the two Captains in the Referees area and with the coin toss he will determine which team will start first. The winner of the coin toss can choose to roll first or second.
    Goalkeepers will defend the same goal during the game time.
    Goalkeepers of both teams may be changed after each shot.
    The shots will be carried out in compliance with Art. 509 of the IIHF Official Game Rules.
    The players of both teams will take the shots alternately until the decisive goal has been scored. The game will be considered ended with this decisive goal.
    If after the 5 (five) throws the teams are still tied, they will proceed to the bitter end ”carried out by a player of both teams, with the same player or with new players. The shots to the bitter end ”will be started by the team that started the first series of shots second. In long-term shots a team can always use the same player. The match will end as soon as the series (one penalty shot per team) does not end in a tie.
    The Official Goalkeeper will have to record all the shots taken, indicating the players, the goalkeepers and the goals scored.
    Only the decisive goal will count for the final result of the match and will be credited to the player who achieves it and charged to the opposing goalkeeper.
    If one team refuses to participate in the penalty shootouts the match will be declared lost for this team and the other team will receive 3 points for the victory. If a player refuses to take the penalty, he will be indicated as "unmarked" for his team

Identification of players, coaches and managers by referees

 

The match officials, 5 (five) minutes before taking the field, must identify the players, coaches and managers, first of the host team and then of the host team. The match officials will call the managers first and then the athletes by surname; the called athlete will answer with his name and shirt number showing it.

The loan of the players is allowed or that some players play for one or more teams but this must be communicated during the registration of the team on the day of the tournament start or in any case always before the start of the match in which the loan takes place.

Players who play for multiple teams will not be able to enjoy the sum of the nets in order to win the top scorer prize of the tournament, for this qualification they must designate a team for which they will participate in the competition for the TOP SCORER prize "

 

EQUIPMENT

All participants must play with hockey skates (not for figure skating, goalie or speed skating). A protective visor or grid on a helmet of your choice is mandatory (mandatory grid for female players)

 

TEAM

If a team does not have the necessary number of players, this can, upon communication to the organization, field one or more players from another team.
The organizing committee has the right to exclude a player from the tournament if this represents a danger for himself, as well as for the other participants.
IRREGULARITIES

For anything not foreseen, the IIHL regulation applies.
In the case of infringements, the race director has the right to give minor or major penalties.
The minor penalties can be transformed in case of extreme reiteration into major penalties.
MAJOR PENALTIES

Any offense and attack on the race director immediately entails a "major penalty", as well as excessive swearing, cursing and discussions with the race director regarding the decisions he has made.
Large infractions and actions that endanger the safety of players, volunteers and the public result in the exclusion of the player responsible for the duration of the entire tournament.
In particular cases and in the event that said major infractions and actions are committed by multiple players of the same team, there may be exclusion of the team for the duration of the entire tournament.

The rules can be changed by IAVHL and are subject to review before the tournament.

Registered players recognize that there is a risk of injury during the hockey game.

The undersigned acknowledges that by registering for the Event all the Teams participating in the Amateur World championship agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Colosseum Cup Hockey Club and IAVHL, the parent companies, the subsidiaries, the associates, the officers, managers, employees, sponsors, agents and representatives in the event of personal injury, property damage, loss, liability or claims for damages, expenses, fines and penalties including reasonable attorney's fees caused by wrongful acts or negligence, errors or omissions on our part, by our agents, employees or representatives, including event volunteers.

Teams have no accommodation constraints, they can take advantage of our hotel agreements or arrange accommodation themselves.

Teams are allowed to use the tournament brand and logo, teams with sponsors are allowed to bring and display any flags and / or advertising banners of their sponsors inside the ice rink.

Failure to comply with the dates indicated for registration and payment of registration fees will automatically terminate the registration and the organization reserves the right to replace the team with one on the waiting list.
